THE ROYAL MARSDEN NHS TRUST 175TH ANNIVERSARY FILM 2026
Commissioned to produce a film to mark and celebrate the 175th anniversary of The Royal Marsden NHS Trust’s history. Since 1851, The Royal Marsden has been at the forefront of pioneering cancer treatment, research and care, with a history of firsts and breakthroughs that underpins their reputation today as the world’s most trusted and prestigious cancer centre. This milestone offered a unique opportunity to celebrate their history, inspire confidence in their future, and unite their audiences under one compelling story.
Emily’s aim was to produce a powerful and emotive film that would honour the past, whilst looking to the future. For this reason, she used a mixed-media, collage approach that featured well over 100 separate assets, from archival stills and news footage, to contemporary in-camera scenes shot on location at the hospital. The film includes field sound, SFX landscaping and meticulous editing by Jamie Gyngell and Emily.
